When tweens and teens have troubles, they don't always feel like they can share them with their parents, teachers or other adults. Sometimes, they just need a place where someone who understands what they're going through will listen. For thousands of teens, that place is
YourLifeYourVoice.org. Created by the Boys Town National Hotline, this website and app gives young people a safe online environment where they can chat with other teens about challenges they are facing and get advice from trained Hotline counselors in crisis situations or troubling life events.
Please take the time to talk with your children and give them the additional resources of the Boys Town National Hotline (800.448.3000) and
Your Life Your Voice. Let your child know that there are additional sources for help on anything they are struggling with. We want to provide all the help we can for your family and your children in the hope that they will live a successful, happy life.
Below are links to two YLYV topics that you can share with your children or use as conversation starters with your kids to help them better deal with current world events (e.g., the COVID-19 pandemic, war in Ukraine, etc.) that might be causing them upset.
