If you've never done the whole family dinner thing I would suggest calling a quick family meeting and saying that you want to try cooking and eating together. You will need to find a day that works for everybody and when you all have some time. This means it might fall on the weekend, first thing in the morning or at dinnertime. Then you need to make a plan. This would be a great time to have a meal that you know the kids really, really like. So if you're going to haul out your pizza meal this could be a good time to do it or something that you know is fun to eat. Let the kids pick dinner music and give them a choice of games you can play while you're eating. The more you involve them and let them choose and make them a part of the planning, the more likely they are to really enjoy it and want to do it again.
