No family is
immune to substance use concerns. We do know there's typical experimentation
among adolescents. Sixteen to 18 is the typical time period where there's some
experimentation. Research has shown youth that are using that are under 15 have
a more likelihood of having further problems as they get older because the
onset of their use is much younger. So what I would say to parents in, you
know, what are we maybe not getting, is just being aware that your child is
going to be subject to temptation, to peer pressure. And it's really important
to equip them with some skills to be able to manage that component.
