Electronics can really complicate sleep and being able to fall asleep in a couple of ways. One is just that association between bed is for sleep, it's not for everything else that you do during the day. Secondly, electronics actually emit the wavelength of light that interferes with your brain's ability to communicate to your body to make melatonin. And melatonin is our natural hormone that helps us be sleepy and go to sleep. And electronics, that screen, that light in the screen interferes with that communication. Every other light can be off, but that screen light is sufficient to interfere, so we don't get that message, we don't get sleepy.
