According to a recent Harris poll survey*, 95% of parents of children under the age of 18 strongly/somewhat agree that it is important to have regular family meals together. We couldn’t agree more! Mealtime is important because:
- It provides an opportunity for family members to catch up on each other’s life happenings.
- Families can talk about schedules and events for the week, making sure activities are coordinated and everyone has transportation.
- Parents can teach group decision-making and communication skills to their children.
- Everyone can learn and practice mealtime manners.
- Every family member can help create and develop family traditions; this makes kids feel important and included.
